Lucas Beraldo, the 23-year-old Brazilian defender, has managed to carve out a place for himself but hasn’t quite established himself as a reliable starter on big nights since joining Paris Saint-Germain in January 2024 (contract until 2028). We remain cautious; nothing concrete has materialized yet. Since last summer, rumors have swirled around Beraldo, and nothing has been confirmed. On the contrary, the Brazilian denied any intention of leaving a few weeks ago.
He’s not a consistent starter on big nights, and his performances have been somewhat inconsistent, which is perfect fodder for the media’s transfer rumor mill. But there’s nothing more to it than that. We wouldn’t be surprised to see Beraldo stay at PSG, eager to get more playing time and continue his development.
A departure isn’t entirely out of the question, especially with the World Cup in mind, as he tries to secure a more prominent role at the club. A loan move might be possible, giving him the hope of returning to Paris stronger. But that’s still a long way off.
