Ousmane Dembélé, the 28-year-old forward for the French national team and Paris Saint-Germain (under contract until 2028), has taken on a whole new dimension in the French capital. His performances naturally attract interest and fuel rumors, given both his qualities and the fact that the end of his contract is slowly approaching. In recent days, several reports mentioned an alleged refusal of PSG’s first offer. This was denied on Sunday by Le Parisien.
“Speaking to Le Parisien – Aujourd’hui en France on Sunday evening, the Ballon d’Or winner’s entourage categorically denied having rejected a contract proposal from Paris Saint-Germain and stated that, for now, the club has not submitted anything to him. The different parties are expected to discuss the matter further in the coming weeks.”
Caution is still required, as this remains only a rumor. Certainty only comes with concrete elements. The situation is all the more unclear because these statements directly contradict those reported in recent days. There has been no refusal from Dembélé’s side, and PSG has not even made an offer yet — a very different scenario. Still, it is difficult to fully understand what is really happening. Perhaps there will be an official statement in the near future.
