Senny Mayulu, the 20-year-old midfielder/forward who came through the Paris Saint-Germain youth academy, signed his first professional contract in May 2024, running until 2027, and has established himself in the first team over the months. This has fueled rumors and speculation about a contract extension, though it seemed unlikely. RMC Sport now reports that an agreement has been reached.
“Several major European clubs, including Bayern Munich and Chelsea, have inquired about his situation.”
According to our information, a full agreement has been reached between the 20-year-old attacking midfielder and the Parisian club for a contract extension until June 2031. Within the club, Senny Mayulu is highly regarded. Appreciated by both Luis Enrique and Luis Campos (PSG’s sporting advisor), the Parisian youth product is considered a player with very high potential. He will therefore extend his contract until 2031.
In recent months, several major European clubs, including Bayern Munich and Chelsea, have inquired about his situation. But Mayulu’s desire has never wavered: to continue his development at PSG, his boyhood club, to which he is very attached.
This is a credible announcement, since Mayulu is undeniably committed to his boyhood club and has managed to secure a fairly important role this season. While not a regular starter on big nights, he makes good use of his versatility to play regularly and even gets substitute appearances in Champions League matches. An already impressive status at his age.
For both PSG and their homegrown talent, the desire to stay makes sense. However, we are still waiting for confirmation before making any definitive statements, as we know the transfer market can change quickly. Not so long ago, Mayulu was widely expected to leave.
