Kevin Trapp, a 35-year-old Paris FC goalkeeper who previously played for Eintracht Frankfurt (2012-2015 and 2018-2025) and Paris Saint-Germain (2015-2018), was invited by Le Parisien to talk about Willian Pacho, a 23-year-old PSG defender he played alongside at Frankfurt (2023-2024).

Trapp: “He’s definitely someone you want to have in the locker room.”

“When he arrived, he was very calm but super nice. He didn’t talk much, but he laughed a lot! And he was always there on the pitch. He didn’t speak the language. But you’d think he’d been there for years! That’s rare. He’s very open and listens a lot. He’s definitely someone you want to have in the locker room.”

I wasn’t necessarily surprised to see him at such a high level in Paris, but I knew that playing for PSG is different. He adapted really quickly, just like he did with us, and that was one of the keys to his success in the Champions League.”

Here we see what has been apparent since Pacho’s arrival at PSG: a very calm player who blends into the squad with serenity, discretion, and a smile. The Ecuadorian doesn’t cause the slightest problem; he’s there for the team, both on and off the pitch.

What’s more, he’s a great player. These qualities are bound to be useful for establishing himself in Paris and being a real asset. A big surprise of the 2024 summer transfer window, he’s now an undisputed favorite with the fans and a defender who ranks among the world’s top players. We can only hope he continues in this direction. With his professionalism, there’s really no doubt about it.
