This Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain played an internal friendly match at the PSG Campus to prepare for the Champions League final against Arsenal next week at the Puskas Arena (kick-off at 6 p.m., CET). Le Parisien provided some insights into the match, which was played with the absences of Achraf Hakimi (27-year-old right-back) and Ousmane Dembélé.
“This match was played at a high intensity.”
Two teams of eleven faced off for just over an hour in this high-intensity match.
Black Team: Marin – Fanne Drame, Zabarnyi, Hernandez, Mendes – Mayulu, Neves, Beraldo – Doué, Ramos, Barcola.
White Team: Safonov – Zaïre-Emery, Pacho, Marquinhos, Cordier – Dro, Vitinha, Ruiz – Mbaye, Lee, Kvaratskhelia.
“The Frenchman and the Moroccan worked individually.”
Only two players were absent: Ousmane Dembélé and Achraf Hakimi. While they did not participate in this match, the Frenchman and the Moroccan trained individually. Their situation is not causing any concern internally; the staff took no risks, and both will be available next week in Budapest against the Gunners. They were absent from the last match. During the Ligue 1 match against Paris FC, Nuno Mendes and Willian Pacho were both present.
Of course, the teams were mixed up to prepare for the final, and there’s no question of one of the two being the starting lineup against Arsenal. The idea was to work intensely in a balanced match. Apparently, there are no injuries, and most importantly, Nuno Mendes and Willian Pacho have fully rejoined the squad.
We still have to wait for Hakimi and Dembélé. Nothing to worry about, there’s still time. However, their return shouldn’t be delayed for several days, as the goal is to have these important players back at 100% for the final. Of course, PSG is remaining discreet about these two cases.
