Désiré Doué, the 20-year-old midfielder/forward for Paris Saint-Germain, spoke to TNT Sports after the penalty shootout victory (1-1 in regulation time, 4-3 on penalties) against Arsenal this Saturday at the Puskás Arena in Budapest in the 2025-2026 Champions League final.
Doué: “Look at our fans, our family.”
A huge achievement?
We are very proud, happy, and grateful. It was a difficult match against a great team. We have to congratulate them. We also have to enjoy this with our club and family. Look at our fans, our family. I’m so happy!
The penalty shootout?
It’s part of the job. I always try to stay calm. I scored tonight, so it’s fantastic.
Doué: “We want more. We are a young team, we are ambitious.”
Can PSG go down in history as one of the best teams?
I don’t know, that’s for you to say (smiles). We have to stay humble. We have to enjoy this, then we have to work. We want more. We’re a young team, we’re ambitious.
