While the Champs-Élysées will be heavily policed on Saturday and the possibility of a parade has been ruled out by the Paris mayor’s office, the Champ de Mars is now reportedly the preferred option for a potential Paris Saint-Germain celebration should they win on Saturday. After the Arc de Triomphe last year, the Parisian club could this time link its festivities to the Eiffel Tower, a global symbol of Paris and an obvious showcase for French football. This was reported by RMC Sport.

“This option is on the table,” a well-informed source admitted, without elaborating further. It is even the priority for all stakeholders. The Paris Police Prefecture will request a ban on traffic and parking around the Champ de Mars from 10 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, until 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, in order to guarantee “the smooth running of a festive event.”

If this option is confirmed, after the Arc de Triomphe last season, and in the event of a victory against Arsenal, Luis Enrique’s players could have a photo taken with the Eiffel Tower. This image, a significant point, contributes to the international prestige of France and PSG, and remains crucial for the celebrations the following day should they win.

Beyond simply organizing a gathering, choosing the Champ de Mars would have a powerful impact for PSG. Celebrating a major title with the Eiffel Tower in the background would not only offer a beautiful image to the fans, but would also remind everyone that the Parisian club now carries a significant portion of the prestige of French football.

In a context where public celebrations are often regulated, debated, or even feared, allowing PSG to fully experience such a moment would also send a message to the governing bodies and authorities. A winning club, a city buzzing with excitement, a globally recognizable landmark: symbolically, it’s hard to imagine anything more powerful. The essential condition remains, of course, and it is no small one: to win on Saturday.
