Lucas Chevalier, 23, spoke to Canal+ after the 1-2 defeat against Bayern Munich on Tuesday in the fourth matchday of the Champions League group stage. He spoke of the bitterness after the match and looked ahead to the next one.
Chevalier: “We leave with a slightly bitter taste”
How did you feel about this evening?
We leave with a slightly bitter taste because in the second half, with their red card, they had a few chances that we had, and we thought we were going to be able to come back to 2-2. With a clear head, we’ll take stock and analyze the match better. It’s certainly never pleasant to lose a match.
Chevalier: “Today’s truth is not tomorrow’s”
Is that just today’s truth?
As with football in general, today’s truth is not tomorrow’s. If we have to lose matches, it’s better to lose them now. Last year’s PSG were struggling at this point in the season, and yet they still went on to win the Champions League. There’s no problem; we’ve come up against a very good team that has only won since the start of the season. We’ll stick together and work hard to win the next match.
