Serge Gnabry, the 30-year-old attacking midfielder/winger for Bayern Munich, will miss the Champions League semi-finals between Paris Saint-Germain and the German club on April 28 and May 6. Bayern released a medical statement on Saturday evening announcing a significant injury.
“Bayern Munich will be without Serge Gnabry for an indefinite period. The attacking midfielder has suffered a tear in his right adductor muscle, diagnosed during a medical examination conducted by the Bavarian club’s medical staff.”
This is a real blow, as Gnabry has established himself as a key player for Bayern this season. He also delivered a strong performance in the league match in November. And that was far from his only good night this season. We can only wish him the best possible recovery, especially with the World Cup in mind.
