Paris Saint-Germain cruised to a 4-0 victory over Inter Miami at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Sunday (PSG/Inter Miami highlights), booking their place in the Club World Cup 2025 Round of 16. After the match, Luis Enrique gave a second interview to DAZN, sharing his thoughts on PSG’s performance.
Luis Enrique: “We have to look at the second half as it was, but the first half set the tone.”
Set pieces seemed to be a big strength today—was everything executed as planned?
“I think we started the match in the best possible way. We had the focus and mindset to play our football from the very first minutes. We deserved this result. After that, the entire match played out differently—the result dictated everything.”
Is Paris progressing thanks to that killer instinct—when you can score, you go for it?
“Absolutely. As this season, which I hope still has a few more weeks to run, has shown, we’re prepared to face every challenge with the same mentality we’ve had all year—the ambition to win and to play our way. We must assess the second half for what it was, but the first half shaped the outcome.”
