Luis Enrique, coach of Paris Saint-Germain (1st), held a press conference this Friday ahead of facing Le Havre (12th) at the Parc des Princes tomorrow (kick-off at 9:05 pm, CET) for Matchday 13 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season. Following this event, the Spaniard also spoke to PSG TV.
Luis Enrique: “We have 8 matches before the break, we’re motivated to improve.”
Ready for the end of 2025, a crazy year?
Is it already over? (smiles). Yesterday we only had 6 players. Today, we’ll have all the players. We’re happy. We have 8 matches before the break, we’re motivated to improve.
What is the priority for the coming weeks?
To improve. We’re aiming to stay in first place, the best place. We’ll also be playing two Champions League matches to see where we stand. Then there’s the start of the Coupe de France, after the eight matches. We have the mentality to improve everything, as always.
Luis Enrique: “Hakimi does everything.”
Hakimi for African Footballer of the Year?
I think Hakimi has been at a very high level. This is my third year with him here, and he’s been top-notch. In defense, as well as in attack. He’s more than just a full-back, I joke about it with him. He’s also a number 9, a winger, a midfielder, he does everything (smiles).
We have to keep going. I don’t really like individual trophies, it’s a bit strange. A player should think about being important to the team, like Hakimi does.
