On Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain secured a convincing 2-0 victory against Liverpool in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final (the return leg is at Anfield this Tuesday, April 14). The match was marked by PSG’s dominance, highlighted by a six-minute sequence leading to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s second goal, during which the English side barely touched the ball to counter the Parisians.
It’s simply impressive. PSG has complete control of the match, the tempo, and when to attack. Liverpool is under pressure, chasing the ball, hoping to break through at some point. But Paris finds the opening with a sublime pass and a top-class finish. All we can do is applaud, and savor, if you’re a PSG fan, the level of Luis Enrique’s team.
