Luis Enrique, coach of Paris Saint-Germain (1st), held a press conference this Thursday ahead of facing Monaco (7th) at the Parc des Princes tomorrow (kick-off at 8:45 pm, CET) as part of Matchday 25 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season. Following this event, the Spaniard also spoke toPSG TV.
Luis Enrique: “At some point, it’s better to give yourself a little space.”
Monaco again?
It’s like with friends, at some point, it’s better to give yourself a little space (laughs).
An intense match in Le Havre?
It was like last year, like two years ago. I don’t think of any easy away games. Everything can change quickly. We were careful to stay very focused throughout the entire match. It was a very complete game, but we couldn’t close it out, and it remained open. That’s a problem sometimes.
Luis Enrique: “Today we talked about what we can improve, but also about what we did well.”
A special moment in the season?
This is the best part of the season, without a doubt! We talked today about what we can improve, but also about what we did well. What I love about training is seeing that we’re enjoying football. It’s an important match tomorrow against Monaco; it’s exciting, it’s a special moment. We’ve shown that we’re an ambitious and ready team.
Luis Enrique: “If you ask our opponents, we’re a very difficult team to play against.”
An added challenge in playing Monaco again?
We know each other perfectly, 100%. If I’m tired of playing against Monaco, you can imagine how tired the Monaco coach must be against us. We’re a very difficult team to play against. It’s easy to criticize PSG because they’re a big club. But if you ask our opponents, we’re a very difficult team to play against, with our individual and collective qualities. It’s always a nightmare to play against PSG.
