Paris Saint-Germain defeated Nantes 3-0 this Wednesday at the Parc des Princes in a rescheduled match from Matchday 26 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season. After the match, PSG coach Luis Enrique spoke to Ligue1+.
Luis Enrique: “It was a tricky match.”
Are you feeling better than Sunday night?
Much better (laughs). Today I feel like talking.
What went well tonight?
Everything. I think everything went well. We saw players who don’t usually play. It was a tricky match because it’s not easy when you change a lot of players, but we clearly showed that this team has the ability to play the same way regardless of the situation. Beraldo and Dro, I think they had a very good match.
Four points to breathe a sigh of relief?
It feels good. It’s true because the championship final is coming up. Lens did a great job, and it wasn’t easy. We were aiming to win, and I hope we can still manage to win the championship.
Luis Enrique: “It depends on what you do on the pitch.”
It was nice, the image with Mbaye, asking him if he wanted to play while smiling.
You saw it (laughs). I think it’s important for the player to hear that. He played well, he came on very freely, he’s very young, he needs confidence.
How do you manage contract extensions and expiring contracts?
In the same way we manage contracts, it depends on what you do on the pitch. Whatever the situation, it’s normal to have more or fewer players with contracts.
