On Thursday at the Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait, Paris Saint-Germain defeated Olympique de Marseille in the 2025 Trophée des Champions, winning on penalties (2-2, then 4-1 on penalties). As we now do after every match, we asked our readers to vote for the best PSG player of the game. Lucas Chevalier (24-year-old goalkeeper) won.

A very impressive victory for Chevalier, who was particularly outstanding on Thursday evening. He missed the penalty he conceded, as he was late to react to the foul, whether it was entirely convincing or not. But he made several crucial saves before stopping two penalties. This is something to remember and could help him take the next step in his adaptation.
The rest of the top three are understandably far behind; PSG were too inconsistent both individually and collectively. While we can be happy for Chevalier, it’s rarely a good sign for the team when the goalkeeper is the man of the match.
Warren Zaïre-Emery (19-year-old midfielder) was quite solid at right-back, while Vitinha (25-year-old midfielder) distinguished himself with an assist and a penultimate pass of exceptional quality on both goals. Nuno Mendes (23-year-old left-back) once again produced some outstanding moments, while Willian Pacho (24-year-old defender) more than made up for his own goal (in a very difficult situation) with his overall performance and the recovery that prevented it from going 1-3 down, before setting up the equalizer for 2-2.
Thank you for your votes. As a reminder, the top three finishers from each match are then used to determine the player of the month.
