This Sunday, Paris Saint-Germain (1st) faces Olympique de Marseille (3rd) at the Parc des Princes for Matchday 21 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season (kick-off at 8:45 PM, CET). On Friday, L’Equipe reported that Fabian Ruiz (29-year-old midfielder) was expected to be absent. However, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (24-year-old forward) could be back.
“One of the questions concerns the possible return of Fabian Ruiz. The Spanish midfielder hasn’t played since the defeat in Lisbon against Sporting Lisbon (1-2) on January 20th, due to a contusion to his left knee. The precautionary principle may apply, and the prevailing opinion on Friday was that he wouldn’t participate in this clash against OM.”
It’s a shame for Ruiz, an important member of the squad, but his absence seems almost certain given his continued absence from training. However, there’s hope for Kvaratskhelia, who was only absent for a very short time, as he was seen training on Friday. A pleasant surprise is possible.
