Nothing is impossible; this is almost the team expected for this final against the rival that PSG takes very seriously. The main question mark hangs over the left wing, between Bradley Barcola (23 years old) and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (24 years old). L’Equipe had initially favored the latter, but this time it’s the former who’s been chosen. Perhaps Le Parisien will be able to settle the matter.
There’s real doubt about the competition, especially since the Georgian had to rest on Sunday against Paris FC, while Barcola had to settle for a substitute role. It would be surprising to see Senny Mayulu (19 years old) start, but it’s not impossible. At least the uncertainty could be troublesome for the opposition because Barcola and Kvaratskhelia have different playing styles.
The Georgian is more comfortable in tight spaces, while the French international is faster and exploits the space behind the defense more easily. This changes the opponent’s approach. We’ll have to wait and see what Luis Enrique’s choice is; he’s always capable of surprising us.
