Paris Saint-Germain 3–3 RC Strasbourg: Luis Enrique reacts after a tough post-international break draw 3-3. Paris Saint-Germain hosted RC Strasbourg this Friday as part of Matchday 8 of Ligue 1. After the match, PSG head coach Luis Enrique spoke to PSG TV about the encounter.

Enrique: “We need to manage not only the pre-international break period, but also the post-break one.”

“My first impression is that Strasbourg are one of the best teams in Ligue 1 in terms of the way they play. I don’t think there’s been a match against them where I’ve been able to use the full squad, but that’s part of the new calendar — there are a lot of things that need to be managed.

I try to handle that in the best possible way for the team, and I think right now it’s important to know how to manage not only the time before an international break, but also after it.”

Enrique: “I think the team played well.”

“You have to manage the players’ minutes carefully, and it’s difficult when there are so many things to think about, while ideally I should only be focused on the match against Strasbourg. But the schedule forces us to deal with that, and we’ll see in the future if it works.

I think we started the match well — we controlled the game, created chances, and scored a goal. Then we lacked a bit of rhythm and intensity. But in the second half, it was different. We managed to come back from two goals down, with our supporters as always behind us. It was a tough match, and in the end, I think the team played well.”

The international breaks are always a tricky period for PSG. A nearly two-week interruption inevitably impacts teams, who need a short adjustment phase to rediscover their rhythm and chemistry. Despite that, the Parisian side managed to fight back strongly in the second half.

Strasbourg were well-prepared and managed to surprise PSG early on. But at home, Luis Enrique’s men showed character and resilience to earn the draw. Once again, this performance underlined the strength and determination of the Parisian squad.

The capital club now heads into a crucial month, with two upcoming Champions League fixtures that could allow PSG to take a major step toward qualification.
