This Friday evening, Paris Saint-Germain drew 3-3 against Strasbourg in Matchday 8 of Ligue 1 2025-2026 at the Parc des Princes. Here are the highlights and highlights of this Parisian performance.
Highs –
Senny Mayulu
The 19-year-old midfielder/forward…and even defender continues to establish himself at PSG. With his talent and versatility, he continues to be invaluable. This time at right-back, Mayulu played the role quite well defensively and was able to create danger, even scoring the equalizer. It’s a pleasure to see a youngster blossom like this.
Désiré Doué is back.
Désiré Doué, 20-year-old midfielder/forward, made his return after a month out with injury. It was a surprise to see him start, but he quickly showed that his legs have recovered well. He provided an assist and also earned the penalty to make it 2-3. All this with some great chance creation and defensive efforts. A very encouraging return, even if he obviously can’t play 90 minutes yet.
Lows –
Lucas Chevalier.
We don’t want to be alarmist; we have to adapt and find our groove, but the 23-year-old goalkeeper was once again a bit disappointing. Even though he made a nice double save, he lacked decisive saves. On the first goal, it was difficult to do better. On the second, his foot seemed blocked and he was ultimately beaten a little easily. The third, of course, happens. But we also need some saves.
