Paris Saint-Germain has brought several players from its youth academy into the training session led by Luis Enrique. According to Djamel and ICParisSG, PSG attacking midfielder Adam Ayari (18), along with PSG central defenders Dimitri Lucea (19) and Axel Koukaba (16), were among those training with the first-team squad.
This collective presence primarily allows Luis Enrique and his staff to observe various player profiles within the first-team environment. It does not mean that these seven players will immediately join the professional squad. Their ages, contract statuses, and levels of experience vary significantly.
Adam Ayari appears to be one of the players closest to the professional level. The 18-year-old attacking midfielder has just signed his first professional contract, running until June 2029. Having come through the PSG academy since the age of six, he scored 7 goals and provided 6 assists in the U19 Championship, before adding another 7 goals and 3 assists during the team’s victorious Coupe Gambardella campaign.
Dimitri Lucea already has some official experience with Luis Enrique’s squad. The 19-year-old center-back made his professional debut on May 13, 2026, against RC Lens. He arrived from Lille in 2025—after a stint at INF Clairefontaine—and has also earned several caps for the France U19 team.
Younes Idder, 18, is a midfielder who has been with the club since his early youth training days. A winner of both the U19 National Championship and the Coupe Gambardella, he has just signed a two-season trainee contract and is set to play with the U21 (Espoirs) squad. He has also received call-ups to Morocco’s youth national teams.
Rayan Abo El Nay is a 19-year-old midfielder who previously played for Jeanne d’Arc de Drancy. A regular in the U21 squad and the Youth League, he has already taken part in training sessions and practice matches with the professional team. His name has also recently been linked to interest from the Portuguese club Rio Ave.
Abdou Fanné-Dramé, 19, joined PSG after a spell at INF Clairefontaine. Although listed as a midfielder when he signed his trainee contract, he has also been deployed as a right-back for the U21 team. This versatility may explain why he is frequently included in expanded training sessions.
Paul Bourdin, 17, belongs to the 2009 age group. The young attacking midfielder has notably distinguished himself with the U17s through his prowess on set-pieces, as well as his goals and assists. His presence, therefore, represents an initial taste of the elite level rather than an immediate step up to the professional squad.
Axel Koukaba is the youngest player on the list. Born on January 7, 2010, the 16-year-old center-back has already made four appearances for the France U16 team. He played a part in PSG’s successes in the U17 National Championship and the Coupe Gambardella, notably coming off the bench in the semi-final victory over Nantes. His invitation to train with the professionals confirms his standing as a standout in his age group, though it is too early to predict the future trajectory of his career.
Ultimately, the session highlights PSG’s commitment to maintaining a clear link between its youth academy and the first team. Adam Ayari and Dimitri Lucea appear to be the most advanced in their development, whereas Axel Koukaba represents a much earlier-stage prospect. For the others, these training sessions serve primarily as an opportunity to be scouted and to familiarize themselves with the standards demanded by Luis Enrique.
