At the end of Paris Saint-Germain’s matches in September, as we now always do (based on the podium finishes from the “player of the match” votes), we asked fans to vote for the Player of the Month. The winner was Vitinha (25-year-old midfielder).
For reference, PSG’s matches in September were:
- PSG/Lens (2-0), PSG/Atalanta (4-0), OM/PSG (1-0), PSG/Auxerre (2-0).
It’s a fine reward for PSG’s “maestro” in midfield. Vitinha continues to confirm his importance and, recently, has also been decisive — particularly in a period where PSG’s attack has lacked options due to injuries.
Even so, Bradley Barcola (23-year-old forward) and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (24-year-old forward) also made the podium after producing several decisive contributions. The excellent Nuno Mendes (23-year-old left-back) also earned recognition.
We thank you all for your votes and remind you that the podium finishes in these “Player of the Month” awards will count towards the Player of the Season title, as players must have appeared on at least one monthly podium to be eligible for nomination.
