Gonçalo Ramos, Paris Saint-Germain’s 23-year-old striker, suffered a serious ankle injury in his first Ligue 1 2024-2025 match (against Le Havre) and had to undergo surgery. Le Parisien spoke about this this morning as it reviewed PSG’s need to regain their effectiveness. The Portuguese is eagerly awaited and is expected to play again before December.

“His return is scheduled for mid-November. (…) The staff have decided to trust him and keep Randal Kolo Muani for rotation, now number three in the axial hierarchy behind Marco Asensio. Internally, there’s a lot of faith in the Portuguese international’s blossoming.”

We remain cautious until there is official confirmation of a player’s return, as we have too often seen the media get it wrong. Whether it’s for an earlier or later return than announced.

It has to be said that this is a difficult point, as many parameters are taken into account and the timing is not the same for everyone. It also depends on how the player feels.

But we’re expecting Ramos to be in good form at this stage, and we’re hoping that he can get fit quickly and then be spared injury. He would undoubtedly be a real plus for efficiency, even if he still needs to grow up and fine-tune his game. This must be a season to take things to the next level.
