Luis Enrique, coach of Paris Saint-Germain (1st), held a press conference this Friday ahead of facing Rennes (6th) at Roazhon Park tomorrow (kick-off at 7pm, CET) as part of the 22nd matchday of Ligue 1 2025-2026. Alongside this event, the Spaniard also spoke to PSG TV.
Luis Enrique: “We can be sure we’ll give it our all.”
What’s your take on the 5-0 victory against Marseille?
It’s the same as always, a very positive take. It’s pretty much what we’re always thinking at the club: being together, with the fans. We need to keep enjoying this group dynamic. Every season, there are difficulties. That’s normal. But we can be sure we’ll give it our all. It’s very positive. We’re happy with the result and our league position, now we have to prepare for tomorrow’s match against Rennes, away from home. It will be difficult.
Luis Enrique: “We still need to improve; our opponents are adapting to us.”
Does the time between matches allow for specific work?
Absolutely. Last week and this week, we’ve been able to work on tactics, with and without the ball. Normally, we do that with video analysis. But right now, we have the time. It’s a good thing to have that time. We still need to improve; our opponents are adapting to us. The crucial part of the season is coming up, and we have to be ready.
Luis Enrique: “We want to reach the best part of the season in the best possible condition.”
How do you prepare for this away game against a team undergoing a coaching change?
When we prepare for a match, we mainly look at what we’re doing. Our opponents often change their tactics. We have to adapt to what they do. We’re used to it; it’s almost always like this. We look at what we want to improve, what we’re good at. We want to reach the best part of the season in the best possible condition.
