Willian Pacho, the 24-year-old Paris Saint-Germain defender, spoke to Ligue1+ after the 3-1 defeat against Rennes this Friday at Roazhon Park in Matchday 22 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season.
Pacho: “We had a lot of chances.”
What’s your reaction to what happened?
It was difficult. They’re a team that plays very well, and we played pretty well too. We had a lot of chances, but that’s how it is, that’s football. We lacked efficiency. We’ll keep working.
How are you feeling?
It’s difficult. We like to win. We usually win, and then there are nights like this. We need to be mentally strong and focused on the upcoming match. We have a great team, and we need to work much harder.
Pacho: “We struggled to manage the depth of our defense.”
How do you explain that?
I don’t know, there are home games, last week was a different week, we created chances, that’s just how it is.
What was difficult?
It was difficult playing behind our defense, they hurt us. We had quite a few opportunities like that and we struggled to manage the depth.
Are you worried before the Monaco match?
No, okay, no. But Monaco is a great team, it’s important, it’s the Champions League, but we also have quality. The Champions League is a different competition.
