AS Saint-Etienne hosted Paris Saint-Germain this Saturday evening at 7:00 pm, on the 27th day of Ligue 1. It was a game of two halves for the Parisians, who were below their best in the first half and conceded the opening goal, before returning to their usual level and turning the match to their advantage (1-6, video summary Saint-Etienne/PSG). Pierre Ekwah, ASSE midfielder, took time out after the match to answer questions from DAZN journalists, and here are his words:
Pierre Ekwah: “Against PSG, we know very well that we’ll pay them in cash”.
Did you get off to a good start and then fall back, or was it the Paris Saint-Germain team that set you back?
I think they got off to a good start in the 2nd. That put us in a bit of a bind and we made a few mistakes. Against PSG, we know full well that we’ll pay for them in cash.
What’s on your mind for the future?
There are levers, we’re good at home. We need to be more consistent over an entire match. It’s not just the first half, it’s the second too. We need to be consistent week after week, especially with the good things we saw today.
