RC Strasbourg Alsace welcomed Paris Saint-Germain to the Stade de la Meinau on Saturday afternoon. The match, which was part of the 32nd day of Ligue 1, saw RCSA win and move a step closer to a place in the European Cup thanks to their 2-1 victory (video Highlights Strasbourg/PSG) over the Rouge et Bleu. Senny Mayulu, the capital club’s midfielder, spoke to DAZN journalists after the match about this second consecutive defeat in L1.

Mayulu: “We pushed hard but couldn’t win”.

What happened today?

We were focused, but unfortunately they managed to score. We’ll forget about that match now and concentrate on Wednesday’s game.

Too many changes all at once?

No, I don’t think so. The coach made his changes, his choices. Unfortunately, we couldn’t win. We gave it our all, we pushed hard but we didn’t manage to win, but that’s okay, we’ll stay focused for the rest of the game.

What’s your message to the fans?

Thanks for the support and we’re going to try to give it everything we’ve got and win this semi-final second leg.
