Paris Saint-Germain and Strasbourg faced off this Saturday at the Stade de la Meinau as part of the 32nd day of Ligue 1 2024-2025. The match ended in a 2-1 defeat for Paris. After the match, Strasbourg’s coach spoke at a press conference.

Rosenior “Despite the turnover, PSG fielded a good team”

“Despite the turnover, PSG fielded a good team, but we were able to take three points at a key moment in the season. We need to stay humble and keep using the same ingredients to win at Angers next week. To concede a goal a few seconds after the restart was very hard, but we fell back and continued to mark the whole pitch individually.

We had to fight for every ball in the heat. They (his players) ran for each other, celebrating tackles and winning headers. But we’ve had that courage all season! We’re the second-best team in 2025 behind PSG.

The progress my players have made is superb, in their understanding of what I want, and in their management of matches and emotions. You have to suffer a lot to beat a team like Paris, but it was worth it”, comments relayed by L’Equipe.

The Strasbourg coach is quite right to underline the Parisians’ qualities, even if some media and fans prefer to pretend that PSG almost “gave away” the match by missing out. The team was very shaky, but there were some good ones. All the more reason to dominate Strasbourg (20 shots to 9, 64% possession).
