This Thursday, L’Equipe dedicated several pages to the salaries of Première Arkéma players, including a top 10 list for the 2025-2026 season. Unsurprisingly, only Paris Saint-Germain and OL Lyon feature, with the latter club dominating the top six spots.
Top 10 gross monthly salaries per club and per player.

Only PSG can keep pace with Lyon in terms of salaries, and there is a significant gap in the rankings (even if the end-of-season playoffs keep the title hopes alive). It’s worth noting that several Lyon players on the list have previous PSG experience, including Chawinga, Katoto, and Diani. This highlights OL’s superior strength, even if their sporting performance is also impressive.
This is an unsettling observation, especially as Paris still needs to rebuild its squad after losing key players and is seeking stability within its project. Let’s hope the Parisian club finds solutions, as this season has been marked by considerable uncertainty.
Also, it’s no surprise that the gap with Ligue 1 salaries remains enormous. This warrants further work and reflection, but it’s a very broad issue, as it also includes the money that players bring into the club’s coffers through competitions, merchandising, and television rights.
