Toulouse FC hosted Paris Saint-Germain this Saturday evening, as part of Matchday 3 of Ligue 1 McDonald’s. A spectacular match thanks to the quality of the goals, during which the Rouge et Bleu won 3-6. Mark McKenzie, 26-year-old Téfécé defender, spoke to L1+ to reflect on this defeat:
McKenzie: “We have to try to do better, and I’m the first.”
It was a football match. How do you feel?
We’re sad, we’re disappointed, of course. We conceded six goals tonight. We had our chances, we saw some good and some bad. It gave the team credit and it’s good for our confidence. I think we can continue to work like this.
Were you talking about a nightmare before this match?
We tried to play this match, we must try to do better, and I am the first. It’s something we must improve on, it’s frustrating, but it’s part of continuity.
