This Saturday, on Matchday 3 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season, Paris Saint-Germain faced Toulouse at the Stade de France. After a match in which the Rouge et Bleu largely dominated, they won 3-6. Here are our ratings for the Parisians.
Goalkeeper –
Lucas Chevalier (6) – It’s unusual, he saved two penalties, and he chose to stay in midfield for the second, never an easy decision. He’s scoring points after a sometimes-criticized start. He still conceded three goals, which is a shame.
Defenders –
Achraf Hakimi (6) – A decent performance from him, obviously building on the exceptional foundations of last year. He’s gaining momentum.
Ilyia Zabarnyi (6) – He doesn’t make much noise, but he’s there, finding his feet, and he’s very interesting. Good overall anticipation in his game.
Lucas Beraldo (7) – He’s started the season very well. He’s heading every ball, he’s more focused and aggressive. He’s scoring points. Be careful, though, as he was easily eliminated for Toulouse’s final goal.
Nuno Mendes (4.5) – A passable half. A few passing errors, but he can do better. Replaced at halftime by Willian Pacho (6) – Positioned on the left, he further increases Luis Enrique’s chances. Strong as always, he’s taken a more global role in the back three, used when Paris have the ball, which is almost all the time.
Midfielders –
Joao Neves (10) – Two magnificent goals, a constant presence in the game, Neves confirms that he is indeed a top-class player. What more can be said about him? The praise pours in every match. He’s invaluable.
Vitinha (5) – Substituted at halftime for Warren Zaïre-Emery (6) – He showed great desire. We saw him take the initiative to attack the opponent’s final third with his physical strength. He could do better, but it’s encouraging.
Fabian Ruiz (7) – An assist maker, always well-positioned, he’s the least “visible” player, yet he’s everywhere. He plays such an important role in this PSG, he fills empty spaces. Watch out for the injury; he finished the match on one leg.
Forwards –
Bradley Barcola (6.5) – He scored a nice goal, he’s available, he’s also growing in strength within this team. This goal will do him good. He has Luis Enrique’s trust, that’s the main thing. The season is long, and we know he’ll do PSG good. Substituted for Ibrahim Mbaye in the 75th minute.
Ousmane Dembélé (7.5) – It’s difficult to rate Dembélé. Two goals, two penalties, but he showed great activity. We saw him frustrated, which shows he expects more from the team. He came off injured… Substituted in the 70th minute by Gonçalo Ramos.
Désiré Doué (4) – A difficult match for him, frustrating. He’s looking for his technical skills. He struggled a lot against the defense. Substituted by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in the 62nd minute.
Coach –
Luis Enrique (8) – He managed the feat of putting a little pressure on his team ahead of the new season. He knows his stuff well, he knows that slacking off can be very problematic. He knows his players aren’t at 100%, but he wants to see good attitudes. His players did the job again, properly.
