Bruno Aquiles, 16, a defender for EC Meia Noite, has been on trial at Paris Saint-Germain for two weeks, according to a message posted by GnclvsScout. Discovered in Brazil after a Copinha tournament where he was a key player for his team, the youngster, born in 2010, exemplifies the talent identification and evaluation work carried out within the Parisian academy.

This type of trial primarily reveals a method: PSG doesn’t “recruit” based on video footage; it observes a player in a controlled environment, over several sessions, subjected to daily demands (pace, adaptation, understanding instructions, concentration). Bruno Aquiles arrives with a strong signal: the Copinha, a major showcase for youth football in Brazil, where EC Meia Noite made a name for itself and attracted attention, to the point of being closely followed even from France. According to the Brazilian press, the right-footed defender, born in Jaú (São Paulo), joined Meia Noite in 2025 and quickly moved up a level to compete in the tournament. For Paris, the objective is clear: identify early, verify on-site, and then make a decision without rushing.

At 16, a trial doesn’t automatically lead to a quick signing: FIFA regulations strictly govern the international transfers of minors, with specific exceptions. In this context, these work periods often serve to establish follow-up, measure the potential for integration and prepare for what comes next… without skipping steps.
