The 2026 summer transfer window is already being prepared by clubs, and rumors surrounding Paris Saint-Germain are piling up. This time, RMC Sport offers an in-depth look at contract extensions (or lack thereof) at PSG.

Several deals are finalized or nearly so.

“Negotiations are progressing well to extend Luis Enrique’s contract until 2030 with a significant pay raise. Negotiations are also advanced for Lucas Beraldo, also aiming for an extension until 2030. In midfield, the Parisian management has already finalized the deal for Fabian Ruiz, offering a one-year extension plus an option for a second year beyond his current contract (until June 2027). The Spanish international will therefore be tied to PSG until at least 2028.

It’s more complicated for others.

Willian Pacho and Joao Neves, both under contract until 2029, have already agreed to extensions before the end of the year, resulting in five-year deals. Some extensions, involving highly sought-after players, are taking a little longer. This is the case for Ousmane Dembélé, Bradley Barcola, and Senny Mayulu. As for the 2025 Ballon d’Or winner, whose contract runs until…” As of 2028, negotiations are continuing amicably between the two parties. It may take time, but both sides remain calm.

Barcola, highly sought after and also under contract until 2028, is in a similar situation, and discussions are ongoing. For Mayulu, whose contract expires in a year, there may have been some turbulence, but the parties are still negotiating in a more peaceful atmosphere.

We must remain cautious, of course; there are many claims and few concrete details. At least, PSG hasn’t confirmed anything, nor have the players. However, for Luis Enrique and Fabian Ruiz, several media outlets have already announced that contract extensions are finalized or nearly so. This is even more evident for Willian Pacho. We can hope that all of this isn’t just a coincidence, that there’s a solid foundation behind it.

For Lucas Beraldo, there’s a slight hesitation, even though several media outlets mentioned a possible departure last summer and at the beginning of this season. But his contract extension is entirely possible, with further potential for development, particularly in his repositioning in midfield.

As for Dembélé, Barcola, and Mayulu, the suspense continues with various announcements that have never been confirmed. Negotiations are possible, as is an agreement. However, there are no guarantees. We will have to wait to find out more.
