Marco Asensio, the 29-year-old Paris Saint-Germain midfielder/forward under contract until 2026, has failed to fully establish himself under coach Luis Enrique. He was subsequently loaned to Aston Villa for the second half of the 2024-2025 season, but was not retained by the English club. He will ultimately return to Fenerbahçe on a permanent transfer. L’Equipe reports that the Spaniard has traveled to Istanbul.

There is little doubt, unless there is a problem during the medical. Which is rare, but not impossible (otherwise, it wouldn’t exist). We’re still hoping for good news soon. In any case, for Asensio, like the other transfer window issues, we mustn’t delay. It closes tonight at 8 p.m. in most countries. Even if Turkey’s deal goes until September 12th and Saudi Arabia’s until the 11th, European clubs probably want everything settled today.
