The 2026 summer transfer window is here, and rumors surrounding Paris Saint-Germain are swirling. This time, RMC Sport offers an overview of PSG’s plans, including the profiles targeted for recruitment and potential departures.
Two departures are already certain.
The departures of Kang-in Lee and Gonçalo Ramos are planned: no discussions have begun to extend the contracts of either player, which run until 2028. If a club comes in with an offer deemed acceptable by PSG, the South Korean and the Portuguese will leave.
Ibrahim Mbaye’s situation is uncertain. The 18-year-old striker made a splash with Senegal at the last Africa Cup of Nations but subsequently saw limited playing time under Luis Enrique. Several clubs are interested in him. It remains to be seen whether PSG is ready to consider offers for the player considered a very promising talent on the verge of blossoming at the highest level.
The situations of Barcola, Dembélé, and Mayulu remain uncertain.
Bradley Barcola, like Ousmane Dembélé, is in negotiations for a contract extension. Like the Ballon d’Or winner, he has been called up by Didier Deschamps to play in the 2026 World Cup with the French national team. He is being followed by other European clubs, all waiting for a potential stumbling block in the discussions surrounding a new contract with PSG. In midfield, uncertainty surrounds Senny Mayulu. With one year left on his contract, the 20-year-old has still not extended, although negotiations are ongoing.
A reinforcement in defense?
In defense, the Marquinhos case is not yet completely settled: if he leaves, PSG will look for another defender but the Brazilian would like to stay. In any case, the Parisian management would like to strengthen their left flank with a player capable of playing both on the wing and in central defense.
We must remain very cautious in the face of all these claims. We should always take rumors with a grain of salt, and this is a very vague collection of information concerning several different situations. Ultimately, there are no surprises. Gonçalo Ramos, Lee Kang-In, and Ibrahim Mbaye could leave if an attractive offer comes in, but there’s nothing concrete on that front. As for Bradley Barcola, Senny Mayulu, and Ousmane Dembélé, we can only wait for the outcome of the discussions.
Regarding Marquinhos, rumors have been circulating for some time (before the summer of 2025). Some continue to see him leaving soon because he’s “already” 32, as if winning Champions League titles as a starter wasn’t a sign of quality, and forgetting that we’ve already seen… Older players continue to perform very well at the highest level.
As for the signing of a defender, nothing extraordinary. Simply an announcement that generally follows what we can expect given the squad and the rumors of recent weeks. We’ll have to wait a little longer to find out more. These “points” on PSG’s transfer window often don’t amount to much, unfortunately.
