Lucas Chevalier, 23-year-old goalkeeper from Lille (contract until 2027) and the French national team, is announced as close to Paris Saint-Germain in this transfer window in order to replace Gianluigi Donnarumma (26 years old, contract until 2026 and extension blocked). Footage of the French goalkeeper wearing a PSG shirt have been circulating on social media, even though his transfer has not yet been made official.
We should always be wary, but it still seems that the player is arriving in Paris. If not this Friday, then Saturday. It’s a transfer we wouldn’t have imagined a month ago, and everything happened very quickly.
We now await his first words, as well as the management of his future rival (or not), Gianluigi Donnarumma, and the three other goalkeepers who will undoubtedly view this arrival with a certain amount of bitterness. With five goalkeepers at PSG, the squad will have to be trimmed, but in the meantime, PSG is (presumably) continuing its “young” and “made in France” recruitment.
