The Ferran Torres saga is now starting to look like a done deal—or rather, a deal that has been “done” several times over. In recent days, reports pointing toward the Spaniard’s move to Paris have multiplied: first an announced contractual agreement, then advanced negotiations between the clubs, and now a €50 million fee cited for the transfer.
Caution remains necessary, however. Several media outlets are reporting a final Parisian offer of around €50 million and a Barcelona side seemingly satisfied with that figure, while still describing the deal as being in the home stretch. The Catalan media also reports that Ferran Torres has not trained with Barça for the second consecutive day, having received the club’s permission to finalize his departure.
Everything seems to be gradually falling into place, yet Paris Saint-Germain has still not made anything official. After numerous announcements treating the deal as all but done, only an official statement from the Parisian club will finally put an end to a saga that has seemed close to conclusion for several days.
