Yan Diomande, a 19-year-old forward for RB Leipzig (under contract until 2030) and the Ivory Coast national team, has been linked to a transfer race involving some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain. RMC Sport reports that PSG is currently awaiting the player’s decision, as he is being courted by several clubs, including Liverpool.
“The German club is also awaiting the player’s decision.”
“PSG is waiting for Yan Diomandé’s choice before making a move.
For the moment, Paris officials have not yet made a concrete move for the Ivorian winger from Leipzig. If Yan Diomandé prioritizes PSG, the club will immediately take action to try to finalize the deal. However, until the player makes his choice, Paris will not initiate any official proceedings with Leipzig. The German club is also awaiting the player’s decision.
Liverpool also wants to sign the player and has already submitted offers to Leipzig.”
Note that this remains just a rumor for now. Nothing is official, so nothing is certain. However, numerous media outlets and journalists have already discussed this story, and the trend appears to be gaining momentum. There is reason to believe that Diomandé is indeed a PSG target. It makes sense, given that he is a tremendous talent. It is also natural for him to attract interest from other clubs and for everyone to be waiting on his decision.
Leipzig would like to keep him in their squad, but a very substantial offer could open the door to a transfer. Figures of around €120 million are currently being mentioned—though, again, without certainty. We are waiting for more clarity on the situation. There may not be any concrete developments while Diomandé is playing in the World Cup with the Ivory Coast. They face Norway on Tuesday at 7:00 PM in the Round of 32.
