The 2025 summer mercato is now open in France until 8pm on September 1, so the rumors surrounding Paris Saint-Germain are piling up. This time, Foot Mercato has confirmed (following a rumour by L’Equipe) that there is concrete interest in Kim Min-jae, the 28-year-old defender from South Korea and Bayern Munich (contract until 2028).
“Luis Campos met the South Korean’s agent in Paris this week.”
“Luis Campos met the South Korean’s agent in Paris this week. The meeting confirmed the possible Parisian interest. Although no offer has yet been made at the time of writing, and Al-Nassr have also expressed an interest, the meeting enabled the Portuguese manager to take the temperature regarding the South Korean international.
In the last few hours, the German press has been claiming that Bayern Munich, unconvinced by the defender’s performance on the pitch, would not be opposed to his departure this summer. Bayern are expecting €50m in the event of a departure.”
There’s nothing totally impossible, nor particularly credible. Kim doesn’t fit in with the usual recruits to the Parisian project over the last two years. Most of them have been young players who have everything to prove and win. The Korean is also coming off a very mixed season. The price we’re talking about seems exaggerated, but Bayern may well have such hopes.
In any case, we can only remain cautious for the time being. Especially as the names announced as being in PSG’s sights are multiplying of late, without the slightest concretization. This rumor could well end in a nice transfer with Saudi Arabia, who are said to be interested.
We’ll have to wait for more certainty, but we wouldn’t be surprised if this dossier didn’t make any particular headway on the Parisian side.
