The 2025/2026 winter transfer window is fast approaching (January), and rumors surrounding Paris Saint-Germain are piling up. This time, ESPN and several Colombian media outlets are reporting that Daniel Muñoz, the 29-year-old Colombian right-back currently playing for Crystal Palace (under contract until 2028), is a target for the club.

“Several Colombian media outlets, as well as journalist Julian Capera, who collaborates with ESPN and has spoken with the player’s agents, reveal that PSG is among the clubs monitoring Daniel Muñoz. He is a versatile defender under contract until June 2028.”
Let’s remain cautious; nothing is finalized yet. There isn’t even talk of an offer, let alone an agreement. We know that rumors tend to swirl around PSG, a club the media loves to discuss during the transfer window. Muñoz, however, is a credible option.
There’s some doubt given his age, since Paris has recently made a habit of recruiting young talents. But he’s also a high-performing, versatile player (he’s comfortable in the center) with a great mentality. Perhaps he could even accept being a backup to earn a place in this squad that’s aiming for titles, including the Champions League.
Let’s wait and see; PSG, Crystal Palace, and the Colombian player may well have other priorities. And perhaps, as is often the case, the rumor won’t lead to anything concrete.
