Bradley Barcola, the 22-year-old striker recruited by Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2023 with a contract running until June 2028, has taken some time but has finally established himself in Luis Enrique’s team. He has also earned a place in the French national team. His rise to prominence may well attract some covetousness. According to Le Parisien, the contract extension recently mooted is likely to go ahead. Both parties are confident.
There’s no real doubt today, as all the media agree on what is the most logical outcome from the outset. Barcola still has a lot to do at PSG, who have no reason to think of parting with a young talent on the rise. Rather, the idea is certainly to continue to make him an important part of the project.
Be careful, though: there’s nothing official yet, and surprises happen quickly in soccer. So we’ll wait for certainties. But a transfer to Bayern Munich, a rumour that caused a bit of a stir this summer, does not seem to be on the cards at all.
