The 2025 summer transfer window is now underway, running until September 1st at 8 p.m. in France, so rumors surrounding Paris Saint-Germain are piling up. This time, RMC Sport is launching a comprehensive review of the PSG transfer window. This focus is on departures, with several players being invited to leave, while the door could open for others. Recruitment is still being considered, but not just any old way.
Players who must leave.
“Randal Kolo Muani has received several offers, including Juventus, who would like to keep him after his six-month loan. The French striker has already said he would like to stay in Turin. Marco Asensio should also be able to find a way out, with offers from the Premier League and Portugal, while Turkey has also made inquiries.
Renato Sanches and Nordi Mukiele are also being asked to find a new base. Even though the French defender won’t leave just for the sake of it and wants to find an interesting project, he’s looking for a new one.
Others who might.
We’ll also have to monitor Lucas Beraldo’s situation after the arrival of Illia Zabarnyi. His playing time will decrease, which could give him a desire to move elsewhere. The club won’t retain him if an offer deemed attractive comes up. The same goes for Presnel Kimpembe, who hardly played last season and won’t be able to expect much playing time.
On the attacking side, Gonçalo Ramos was very clear yesterday in the mixed zone in front of the media. “Yes, I’m staying in Paris this season,” the Portuguese player said. But his situation will still have to be monitored very closely. Kang-in Lee could leave if he receives a good offer. Clubs, particularly in England, have been inquiring. If he leaves, he will be replaced.
Possible signings.
More broadly, regarding recruitment, Paris Saint-Germain will no longer be going crazy. The coach and the sporting management’s idea would be to double all positions. But not at any cost: the club wants quality and will only pursue a project if it’s sportingly interesting, not just to boost numbers.”
It’s difficult to know what exactly we can take away. We know that these long articles on the transfer window in one of the country’s “major” media outlets generally cause a stir, but we need to take a step back and see that there’s mostly vagueness.
As for the players invited to leave the club, there’s nothing more specific than what we’ve seen recently. The candidates are clearly identified, offers are lacking, or agreements are difficult to find. There’s still time and hope, with some files that could be resolved in the final days of the transfer window (ending September 1st at 8 p.m. in France).
As for Beraldo, Lee, or Ramos, things are a bit incomplete. They’re more like backups, so many see a possible departure. There may be some truth to this, if an “interesting offer comes in.” Which doesn’t really mean much. So what is this offer? For what amount is PSG opening the door? Which clubs attract these players? Under what conditions? Any player can leave if “a good offer” is there. That’s what it means. What matters is what’s behind it. Ramos has at least been very clear: he wants to stay at PSG.
Which may have other signings. Possibly to replace Beraldo or Lee, perhaps simply to strengthen an already very strong squad. This means finding a player who is a real asset, who accepts competition (some don’t want him), and whose club has a reasonable price and isn’t “inflated” by the fact that the demand is Parisian. So, nothing’s certain. Some may see this as a tragedy. However, the European Super Cup victory against Tottenham is a reminder that there is already a strong squad. This is something some have already forgotten since the Champions League victory on May 31st.
