With Paris Saint-Germain’s results a little disappointing, are there any new players on the pitch? It’s a little early to be announcing strong choices, but journalist Benjamin Quarez (Le Parisien) reports that youngsters Axel Tape (17-year-old central defender) and Mahamadou Sangaré (17-year-old striker) are training with the professional squad this Tuesday.
“Youngsters Axel Tape and Mahamadou Sangaré (7 Youth League goals) will be training with the first team today.”
This is confirmation for Tape, who has already been training professionally and even in the squad for a match just after the international break. This still doesn’t mean he’ll be playing any time soon, but he’s scored points and perhaps an opportunity is approaching.
This could also be the case for Sangaré. The young striker has impressed at U19 level, notably with a string of goals in the Youth League (the equivalent of the Champions League). With his team lacking efficiency of late, perhaps Luis Enrique is considering a move. In any case, he loves competition and has never been afraid to launch a young player.
