Achraf Hakimi, the 27-year-old right-back for Paris Saint-Germain and Morocco, suffered a serious ankle injury in early November following a tackle against Bayern Munich. He then spent weeks working to make a full recovery, with the Africa Cup of Nations as his main objective (he has so far only been a substitute in the first two matches). Canal+ was by his side during this special period, which was also marked by his winning the African Player of the Year award. It’s possible to relive this recovery through some of the highlights.
