Kylian Mbappé, the 26-year-old France forward, is now at Real Madrid following his departure from Paris Saint-Germain. However, not everything has yet been settled between the player and the club where he spent 7 years. The French international is in financial dispute with Paris over unpaid wages and bonuses, despite PSG’s belief that an agreement had been reached. Recently, his lawyers announced an offensive with several procedures launched. On Monday evening, AFP reported that Paris had taken an important step forward with the court’s decision to annul the 55 million euros demanded by the player.
“Victory for Mbappé!
Mbappé-PSG dispute: the courts annul the 55 million euro seizure of the club’s accounts, obtained in April by its former player, Kylian Mbappé, as part of the financial dispute between the two parties.
PSG’s lawyers had pleaded on May 12 for this annulment, considering that the star had “not sufficiently provided proof of an appearance of debt and failed to demonstrate any threat to collection”.
It’s an important legal victory, even if it’s not the end of the story. Mbappé’s entourage seems ready to fight to the bitter end, and this could take some time yet. But PSG has taken an important step here, both in principle and financially. Let’s hope it stays that way.
In the meantime, all Parisians are hoping for a landmark victory in Saturday’s Champions League final against Inter Milan.
