On Sunday at the Parc des Princes, Paris Saint-Germain beat Saint-Etienne 2-1 as part of Matchday 17 of Ligue 1 2024-2025. Here are the scores awarded by Le Parisien and L’Équipe to the capital’s players (find ours here).
Le Parisien :
Barcola (4,5) – Ramos (4) – Dembélé (8)
Mayulu (6) – Ruiz (6) – Lee (5,5)
Nuno Mendes (5,5) – Hernandez (6) – Beraldo (5) – Hakimi (6)
Donnarumma (5)
L’Equipe :
Luis Enrique – 7
Barcola (4) – Ramos (3) – Dembélé (7)
Mayulu (6) – Ruiz (5) – Lee (6)
Nuno Mendes (6) – Hernandez (5) – Beraldo (6) – Hakimi (5)
Donnarumma (4)
On the whole, these marks were acceptable, given that Paris dominated, took a “silly” goal and scored through one of its three attacking players. The other two failed in their task. The midfield was a mixed bag, but did not disappoint.
As for the defense, there were disparities between the media, mainly because these are subjective opinions. Beraldo didn’t have a worse game than Hernandez, and the reverse is also true. Donnarumma made a “mistake” and paid for it in full, while Nuno Mendes made a few sloppy restarts and came through well. Overall, PSG’s dominance is evident in the scores. Without efficiency in both areas, it’s hard to go any higher.
