Carlos Soler, the 28-year-old midfielder who arrived at Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2022 from Valencia with a contract running until 2027, failed to convince on the pitch and was loaned out to West Ham for the 2024-2025 season. In a statement relayed by Mail Sport, he said he was happy in London and wanted to stay.
“Carlos Soler wants to stay at West Ham!
“I love London, I love playing for West Ham, I love the fans, I love the people here and I’m very happy.”
He also says he is happy with Graham Potter.

PSG are to be commended for having found a club for Soler, and above all for the fact that the player has rediscovered the joy of playing soccer and seems to be blossoming. In Paris, Soler never managed to raise his game. Soler is a good player, and Paris is now able to purge its squad when the need arises.
Gone are the days when players stayed for years just for the salary, now everything is much clearer, much more fluid. However, Soler is on loan and still belongs to PSG, so we’ll need to find a solution to the problem of his permanent departure.
