Paris Saint-Germain women’s coach Fabrice Abriel spoke to PSG TV after the 4-1 victory over Montpellier on Matchday 15 of the Arkéma 2024-2025 Première Ligue at Campus PSG. He highlighted many positive aspects, even if he does have one small regret. There’s also talk of the championship race.
Abriel “We played 89 minutes, it’s just the goal that bothers me.”
I’m very happy. There wasn’t much to correct at half-time. We stuck to the plan and played the way we needed to. The players clearly knew what they had to do. You can see it, you can feel it. There’s a lot of communication, a lot of animation of the system. They know the ideas and implement them.
There was a lot of control. We congratulated the players at half-time, even though there were 1 or 2 points to watch out for, particularly in transition. And a situation where we could do better in recovering the ball. We had to insist on playing 90 minutes. We played 89 minutes, there’s just the goal to worry about.
But it didn’t have an impact on the result, so we’re still very much involved in the championship and chasing Paris FC. We’re hoping to do just that and move ahead of them before Matchday 22. We’re also answering questions about our attack. The answer is to score 4 goals and show our strength.
