In a Téléfoot interview, Luis Enrique, coach of Paris Saint-Germain’s 2-1 win over Le Havre on Saturday, praised 19-year-old versatile winger Désiré Doué. He praised him and said it was “wonderful” to coach him.
“Désiré Doué is a revolutionary player who continues to grow and is hungry for success.
It’s wonderful to coach him! I think he still has room for improvement because he’s so ambitious.”
It’s unusual for Luis Enrique to be so enthusiastic about his players. Having said that, Doué has brought him satisfaction at the end of the season.
What’s more, it’s gratifying. While Doué owes his talent to no-one but himself, there’s always a coach’s part in the explosion of talent. Now, the two can still grow together, and the season isn’t over yet.
