Paris Saint-Germain travelled to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal on Tuesday evening for the first leg of their Champions League semi-final. The Rouge et Bleu quickly found the net, scoring the only goal of the game through Ousmane Dembélé (0-1, video highlights Arsenal/PSG). Paris now has one foot in the final, but is wary of the return leg, as Gonçalo Ramos told Canal+ Sport after the match:
Ramos: “We won one game, but eliminations are made over two games”.
Did you almost score a goal with a very special shot?
Yes, I work a lot on this type of shot. If I can do it other times, I’ll do the same.
There’s no euphoria or celebration in the dressing room?
Yes, the work isn’t over yet. We’ve won one match, but elimination is a two-game process.
Was it a demonstration of strength that Paris showed here?
Yes, we looked Arsenal in the eye. We did our job, we played our soccer and we won.
You’re capable of suffering. Is it good to develop that?
Yes, it’s important to do everything in a match – that’s what high-quality soccer is all about. We need every moment of the match.
