Day 1 of the Champions League 2024-2025 league phase was played this week. UEFA then organizes various fan votes. Paris Saint-Germain, who won against Girona at the Parc des Princes, is not among the nominees for player of the week. There are Harry Kane (31-year-old Bayern Munich striker), Florian Wirtz (21-year-old Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder), Jamie Bynoe-Gittens (20-year-old Borussia Dortmund striker) and Antoine Griezmann (33-year-old Atlético Madrid striker).

Here, we can expect to see Kane make his mark, notably with a quadruple. But there’s more to it than goals, and the competition is strong.
